Two Fan Page Settings You Might NOT Know About

There are two Fan Page settings that are important to know about that you might have missed or may have wondered about what their real purpose was.

The first is found on your Wall right underneath your Status Update Box. There is a link called “Options.” If you click on it, then it will bring up the following:

Fan page settingsThis is where you will select what and who has permissions to post on your Wall. In this video, I will go over what the different choices mean and how they might affect different aspects of your Wall and for your community of people who like your page.

The next setting can be found when you click on “Edit Page” and go to Settings which is listed in the first box at the top. This setting allows you to restrict who can see or access your page. You might need to use these Fan Page settings if you need to restrict access to your page for only those who are above a certain age.

More information about these settings and how they affect the overall visibility of your page is covered in this short video below. This settings are important to know about because some of these restrictions mean your Fan Page cannot be indexed by the search engines or access by anyone outside of Facebook.
